    1. And every time I see Military Diet I say cardiac diet. What they are calling the Military Diet now was out as a diet from a cardiac hospital (in Birmingham I believe) in the early 1980's. I have my original paper somewhere, but would have to find it.

    4. Hey, Unknown. Grapefruit is prohibited if you take anti-seizure meds. Wouldn't that be wonderful if you bullied someone into quitting those medications? Get educated before spouting off your ignorant mouth...

    1. Well, if you are eating (healthy) vegan....you would most likely not need heart surgery after a short time anyway.

    2. THAT is SO NOT true esperanza!!! I was a professional athlete, in better physical shape at 50 than MOST 19 yr olds ever HOPE to be! I just got a pacemaker and defibrillator due to congestive heart failureand a Left bundle branch block which was most probably a birth defect, arteries are clean.... I have been prescribed a Cardiac Diet...being vegan has nothing at all to do with MY heart failure or whether or not I will need heart surgery.

    1. Wow, Your response isn't very nice, we understand basic math just curious if altering it at all will change the outcome. So try being more positive towards people instead of cutting people down for asking questions. Have a good day
